The 5 Camping Essentials for Beginners

Posted by on 10/4/2017 to Recreational

I know how difficult camping may be for those first-timers out there. That's why I give you a simple list of things you must have.

1. Food

You won't be able to camp properly without the delicious and filling food! I recommend you to make a camping food list and bring a bit more than what is expected just in case anything happens. Go for filling and quick bites, such as bread, peanut butter, and canned food. Water is an absolute must as well!

2. Air Mattress

If you want to make sure that you get a comfortable rest during the night, then the best camping air mattress will have you sleep soundly. The soft mattress is very easy to set up and fits tents, which is perfect for kids or older people who need it.

3. Survival Kit

You never know what will go wrong during your camping trips, so make sure that you pack in a survival kit that consists of an emergency blanket, a flare for signaling, as well as flashlights, a walkie-talkie, and multi-purpose tools for defense like a Swiss Army Knife.

4. First Aid Kit

When camping, there may be injuries or sicknesses that can come along the way. Pack in a first aid kit that includes all the necessary bandages and medicine, as well as any personal medicine that you need to treat certain illnesses, such as inhalers or allergic pens.

5. Tent

You can't sleep soundly without the proper tent. This will be your small and temporary shelter, so make sure that you get a strong one that will be able to fit all of you, whether you're a solo backpacker or a group of four.

Of course, this isn't complete, and you may need to bring more depending on your personal preferences and for other reasons, but these five are a must for all campers to stay comfortable and safe throughout the trip.

Conclusion

So these were the five absolute essentials one needs when going on a camping trip. I hope this helped you create your list! So don't wait any longer and start preparing today. We know survival does not begin or end with the gear and tools you have at hand, but the knowledge you have in mind.
