     Survival Camping Store.com was founded by two longtime childhood friends Devin Peterson and Matthew Strunk. They grew up in the rural outskirts of Eastern Pa and shared one main passion. The love for the outdoors. Devin and Matt started camping and hiking at an early stage and quickly became addicted to all that the wilderness had to offer. They decided to take their passion one step further. They started participating in Orienteering Events across Pa. Together they learned the art of outdoor navigation and a wide variety of survival techniques. Devin and Matt started working on their primitive survival skills. They were driven to learn all they could about outdoor survival. They wanted to know that they could survive in the wilderness with nothing but what nature offered. For years Devin and Matt trained and put themselves to the test. 

     

Devin and Matt learned a lot during these years but started to realize that what they were doing wasn't realistic. They realized that the average person can't train like this. That the average person doesn't spend their free time learning how to start a friction fire. Or to learn which plants are edible and which will kill you. They didn't study how to purify water or find food in the wild. Quite honestly, why should they? Must you be a Survival Expert to enjoy the outdoors? Must you be a Survival Expert to go backpacking through the countryside?

 

     Devin and Matt soon realized that a true survivalist is someone who knows how to prepare for anything. A true Survivalist is a person who equips themselves with the necessary survival tools that in the case of an emergency, they are prepared accordingly. Those are the principles in which this site was formed. To provide the average person with a wealth of survival information and the right gear. To provide them with all the survival and emergency preparedness gear they would ever need. To provide them these products for less and with the best customer service on the web.
