What is Chlor-Floc?
The "Chlor" stands for 'Chlorine' and the "Floc" stands for 'Flocculation'. Chlorine is a great water disinfectant, but often it needs to be supplemented, especially for dark, dirty water. While chlorine will effectively disinfect your water, the suspended material can sometimes shield and protect harmful pathogens from being disinfected, by flocculation prevents that from happening, allow your water to become clean and drinkable regardless of it's prior conditions.
*It is still and will always be recommended to filter your water when possible, to eliminate large particles that chemicals purifiers can not removes. Even something as simple as passing the water through an article of clothing, linen, or cloth can be effective.
The powder form is much more economical and is the reason why so many people including the US government choose powder instead of tablets. Plus, the flatter packets are easier to carry and transport.
