Rothco N-2B Flight Jacket
A flight jacket is a a garment that was originally created for pilots, but has since become a valuable and popular apparel item among civilian cultures. It is sometimes referred to as a bomber jacket or bombardier jacket.
It's purpose was to keep the pilot warm, because many airplanes did not have enclosed cockpits at the time. It's heavy insulation and sturdy design set it apart from any jackets they used until the invention of the "flight jacket". Many military forces adapted this style jacket, including the United States Air Force sometime around 1917.

We don't expect you'll be going on any
bombing raids in the near future, nor will you be
flying in a jet with a rather strong breeze pulling your body heat from the core. But it's feasible to think you might experience drastically cold temperatures and blazing winds at some point. A standard coat or little leather jacket won't keep you sufficiently warm. We promise the N-2B will satisfy your need for warmth.
