How To Use This Fire Starter:Step 1: Begin by setting up a tinder pile with lots of surface area to allow sparks to ignite. Make sure you have kindling and fuel prepared close by. Go here for some ideas on fire tinder.
Step 2: Secure the fire striker in hand by wrapping the included lanyard around a few fingers.
Step 3: Hold the ferro rod towards and close to the tinder pile, scrape the rod away from your body with the striking tool along the entire length of the rod. Be sure to apply moderate pressure and you should actually be scraping material off of the rod.
