Mil-Spec Adventure Gear Fully Lined Wool Capote
The original capote was the winter coat of choice used by mountain men and trappers. It was first designed in the early 19th century using old wool blankets. This product is a modernized version of the early capotes and still proves to be an amazingly effective winter coat.
Wool is known to be one of the best natural insulators on the market. This capote consists of 75% wool which balances the benefits of comfort, durability and insulation. The inner lining displays a unique quilted pattern and features reinforced stitching along with hemmed edges.
The sleeves are meant to be long to help cover and protect the hands, one of the most vulnerable body parts to frost bite. A rain cape covers the back and shoulders for a water resistant layer. The draw string hood easily fits over any head caps and hats which further enhances functionality.
Slash pockets provide a storage unit for small, easy-access items and the wool belt doubles as another insulation component, as well as adding a flare of style.
The capote comes in 2 colors and 2 sizes. The fingertip length provides a degree of mobility while the long coat provides more protection.
The brown coat features a red stripe at the end of the sleeves and bottom area, while the gray coat features a yellow stripe.
